This is a lovely weathervane depicting saint george slaying the dragon. It has great detailing and would make for a lovely outdoor feature. It would be a good gift idea for a patriotic Englishman and is a great way to decorate a house, garden shed, pergola, summer house etc

St George is the patron saint of England, it is thought he was a high ranking officer in the roman army and was killed circa 300 AD. The dragon is thought to represent the devil so it is symbolic of a triumph over evil or good vs bad. The crusaders are believed to have brought the concept back to England in the 12th century

Material

The George and the dragon weathervane is made from strong 3mm thick steel primed with iron phosphate primer and finished in a durable black antique polyester powder coat finish. The default weathervane will be all black but you can order the N S E W directional arms lettering in gold at extra cost
