Elevate your rooftop into a masterpiece with the exquisite steel labrador weathervane, meticulously fashioned for seamless integration onto your roof, obviating the need for unwieldy brackets. This ingenious mounting approach provides a plethora of angle possibilities, allowing you to tailor the weathervane to your roof's inclination by selecting the optimal ridge tile angle when placing your order. Forged from robust steel, this weathervane transcends mere meteorological functionality, doubling as a distinctive and entrancing embellishment for your rooftop. Observe with fascination as the canine elegantly responds to the ever changing wind, delivering both utilitarian significance and aesthetic allure.

Bid farewell to the inconveniences associated with conventional weathervane installations, which entail drilling into your roof or affixing brackets that may compromise its integrity. Our ridge tile fitting presents a bracket free, mortar compatible solution, ensuring a swift and secure attachment to your roof's framework. Discreetly nestled beneath the ridge tile fitting, the mechanical strap imparts an additional layer of stability. Installers enjoy the flexibility to secure it firmly with screws, nails, or integrate it into the roof structure. Once affixed, adhere to standard mortar bed procedures to cloak the metallic strap, guaranteeing a polished finish that harmonises with your roof's aesthetics.

Whether embellishing gable ends, residences, cottages, sheds, workshops, or gracing outdoor gardens as an enchanting ornamental accent, the dog weathervane on ridge tile fitting stands as a versatile selection. Allow your roof to evolve into a beacon of design brilliance, as this weathervane not only acts as a pragmatic wind indicator but also introduces a compelling visual dimension that enriches the allure of your surroundings.

Brackets & Fixings

There are various methods for installing weathervane finials:

Traditional mortar bedding

Weathervane finials can be installed using the same process employed for ridge tiles, using standard mortar bedding. If the weathervane finial is tall, heavy, or requires enhanced stability, a supplementary mechanical fixing method can be utilised in conjunction with the mortar bed installation.

Mechanical fixing strap and mortar bedding

In this installation method, a galvanized metal strap is discreetly attached to the underside of the finial ridge base during manufacturing. This durable and flexible metal strap can be adjusted in length by cutting it down. Equipped with a series of holes, the strap can be screwed, nailed, or embedded in mortar to anchor it to a section of the roof structure. After securing the metal strap, installers can hide it from view by applying traditional mortar bed resulting in a seamless and tidy appearance.

Dry fixing

An alternative method for affixing finials to the roof is the dry fixing approach. This technique involves using a specific manufacturer's dry fixing system, typically incorporating brackets or alternative mechanical fasteners to attach ridge tiles and finials to the roof without the use of mortar. If you are considering a dry fix ridge system, please contact us to determine if this weathervane finial design can be adapted to be compatible with your chosen system.
