Description
Elevate your rooftop's charm with the captivating allure of the copper verdigris victorian arrow weathervane. This ornate and functional masterpiece enhances the aesthetic appeal of your roof with meticulous craftsmanship and a weathered copper verdigris patina. Immerse your rooftop in a unique decorative accent that stands out in both style and practicality.
Designed for seamless integration, the adjustable ridge tile fitting ensures straightforward installation at various angles. This weathervane transcends mere ornamentation, excelling in its functional role. The gracefully fitted victorian arrow moves with the wind, providing an enchanting and practical indication of wind direction. Choose from a range of colour options to complement your preferences, a departure from the conventional terracotta ridge tiles.
Opting for a ridge tile fitting instead of a bracket preserves your roof's waterproof integrity. Traditional bracket installations often compromise watertightness with roof penetrating holes. In contrast, the victorian arrow weathervane's installation is secure and straightforward, expertly mounted with mortar.
Enhancing versatility and stability, a mechanical fix fitting in the form of an adjustable metal strap is included. This robust strap, easily fastened with screws or nails, disappears from view during ridge base mortar installation, ensuring a stable and low hassle setup.
Ideal for various roof types, from gable ends to sheds, workshops, or summer cottages, the victorian arrow ridge weathervanes also double as charming garden ornaments, infusing elegance and uniqueness into your outdoor space. Transform your home's exterior with the victorian arrow weathervane, adding a distinctive and captivating touch.

Brackets & Fixings
There are various methods for installing weathervane finials:
Traditional mortar bedding
Weathervane finials can be installed using the same process employed for ridge tiles, using standard mortar bedding. If the weathervane finial is tall, heavy, or requires enhanced stability, a supplementary mechanical fixing method can be utilised in conjunction with the mortar bed installation.
Mechanical fixing strap and mortar bedding
In this installation method, a galvanized metal strap is discreetly attached to the underside of the finial ridge base during manufacturing. This durable and flexible metal strap can be adjusted in length by cutting it down. Equipped with a series of holes, the strap can be screwed, nailed, or embedded in mortar to anchor it to a section of the roof structure. After securing the metal strap, installers can hide it from view by applying traditional mortar bed resulting in a seamless and tidy appearance.
Dry fixing
An alternative method for affixing finials to the roof is the dry fixing approach. This technique involves using a specific manufacturer's dry fixing system, typically incorporating brackets or alternative mechanical fasteners to attach ridge tiles and finials to the roof without the use of mortar. If you are considering a dry fix ridge system, please contact us to determine if this weathervane finial design can be adapted to be compatible with your chosen system.
