This weathervane category features pure copper Verdigris weathervanes that have weathered to a natural verdigris patina. Weathering dulls the once bright polished copper look to a charming and aged green Verdigris patina which gives an aged appearance
To achieve the natural aging effect on the copper weathervane figure, globes and brass cardinal points a combination of techniques can be used including simply allowing the UK weather to naturally age the weathervanes outside over months or years, using a solution or acceleration process to encourage the onset and formation of the Verdigris patina and allowing the rain to naturally age them
We believe you will be hard-pressed to find better examples of genuine naturally aged copper weathervanes
